Leave time to return

Plan a Scooter Outing Around Sunset

If you want to catch the evening light, let us know your date and where you are staying. We can discuss a viewing stop and enough daylight to get back comfortably.

Work out the trip back first

We'll discuss the date, sunset time, route, and pickup with you. Sunset changes through the year, so leave enough light for a return you feel comfortable riding.

Visit the lighthouse earlier in the day

Cabrillo National Monument normally closes at 5 PM and all visitors must leave. Check current hours before visiting, because a rental or guided outing cannot give you access after closing.

Choose enough rental time

Our shortest rental is four hours, even for an outing around sunset. If you would like a private guide, ask us about availability and a quote.

Keep an eye on the conditions

Unsafe wind, rain, or poor visibility can change the plan. Discuss cancellation and rescheduling terms with us before booking, and do not ride in unsafe weather.
